Software:

Software is a well defined set of instructions  that tells the computer what to do and how to do.

Softwares are used to solve the problems.

Types of Softwares:

There are two types of softwares. These are as follows:

1. System Software.

2. Application Software.

System Software:

System software is a type of software that is designed to run a computer's hardware and application programs. If we think of the computer system as a layered model, the system software is the interface between the hardware and user applications.

Example:

Windows 10 is a major example of system software.

 

Application Software:

Application software is a type of software that is used to perform daily-tasks on computer. when we perform any task on computer we mostly used application software.

Example:

Microsoft Word is a major example of application software.
